In a shrinking world with a growing population, there are not enough seats for everyone! This conundrum is especially the case in China, where of the 30 million students in grade nine, only about 10 million will continue to take the college entrance exam, but only 5.3 million seats at Chinese universities exist. So where are these 4 million Chinese students to go?

For many Chinese students, the answer is abroad, but some just don’t know how. MLS helps Chinese students loosen some of their “Ting Hua” (obedient) culture to become more expressive and independent, the type of students for which American colleges and universities are looking.
