CANCELLATION POLICY AND PROCEDURES
In order for our program to best benefit your child, it is critical that we are able to see your child weekly! We are flexible in adjusting to the hectic schedules of our clients, but only if notice of cancellation is received at least 24 hours in advance of the tutoring session. Please notify us by email.
- To cancel or reschedule a Group or Private session please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
- For private tutoring sessions, please also include your individual tutors on the email.
Cancellations with fewer than a 24 hours advance notice will result in a charge of the full amount of the scheduled time. In the event of inclement weather, sudden illness and emergencies, this policy may be waived.
Please DO NOT bring your child to the office on a day other than for his or her regularly scheduled session without speaking to us directly.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
In the event of school closings due to inclement weather, MLS makes every attempt to remain open as it is so important to maintain a rhythm of work with our students. However, safety comes first. Often, MLS is open when school is closed; please email ‘email@example.com‘ to confirm. We will also do our best to notify by email as soon as the status of the day has been determined.
MLS is closed the following holidays:
New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Day
Good Friday and Easter Weekend
Fourth of July
Day after Thanksgiving
PAYMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Monthly payment by credit card is appreciated. Your card will be charged at the beginning of the month for the tutoring fees associated with services rendered during the previous month. You will receive a statement by email reflecting this payment. If you prefer to pay by check, please consider using our pay online (direct debit from checking or savings) capability. To pay online, use the link included on your statement each month to access the online account. A check can be made out to MLS Educational Consultants and mailed to Loretta at our tutoring center, 6830 Elm Street, Carriage House 2nd Floor, McLean, VA 22101.
Please be aware that a credit card is REQUIRED to be submitted and placed on file with us no matter which payment method you select. If your account becomes 60 days past due, the credit card will be charged.
All charges for tutoring are due and payable within 60 days of statement date. For any amount unpaid after 60 days, a 1.5% per month service charge will be added (18% per annum). Additionally, a $10.00 monthly billing fee and a $10.00 late fee will be applied to your account.
Should your account be referred for collection, you agree to pay the costs of collection including attorney fees and other costs of litigation.

MLS will not at any time share your address, phone number or email with any third party. Student scores and testing will not be shared with any other professionals except with expressed written permission. Students should be aware that tutors will keep parents abreast of their progress.
