Education: Tricia grew up in Richmond, VA where she attended Hermitage High School. Tricia holds a B.S. degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She went on to attend law school at West Virginia University where she was a member of the West Virginia Law Review and the Honorary Lugar Mock Trial Association.

Experience: Tricia practiced law for approximately 10 years; her legal practice spanned many different areas, but her primary areas of focus were employment and criminal law. She was a staff attorney for the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and a legal research and writing professor. For over a decade she has been heavily involved with autism advocacy as the Central Region Director of the Virginia Autism Project. She began her career in college admissions as an undergraduate admissions reader, a job she has held for three competitive universities. Wanting to work more directly with families, she then became an independent college counselor where she advises students on all aspects of the college admissions process. She is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association where she completed the Summer Training Institute as well as the College Essay Guy counselor training.

Specialties: Tricia enjoys working one-on-one with students throughout the college admissions process including advising on course selection, extracurriculars, and helping craft college lists and personal statements. She has significant experience working with students with learning differences. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking her dogs, watching college football and indulging her love of history.
