Education: Walter graduated from Brandeis University in 2013 with a B.S. in Physics and B.A. in Mathematics with Honors. His undergraduate research in theoretical biophysics culminated in an undergraduate thesis titled, “The Effects of Confinement in Determining Chemical Rates”. Walter went on to study at the Courant Institute at New York University and completed an M.S. in Applied Physics at The Johns Hopkins University. Walter is currently working on his doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Walter has been tutoring since graduating college in 2013. He particularly enjoys sharing his experience as an engineer and an applied physicist with his students. He is currently an adjunct professor of physics at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, and holds a lecturer position with locally based Strayer University where he teaches Statistics to adult learners.
Specialties: Walter enjoys teaching as well as learning from his students. Richard Feynman (Nobel Laureate) famously said, “If you want to master something, teach it.” This sets the tone for the way Walter conducts every lesson regardless of the students ability and prior knowledge. Walter specializes in tutoring all levels of mathematics through Multivariable Calculus/Linear Algebra and can tutor AP Statistics and AP Physics C.
